Press Releases

Press Releases are designed to get the message to the right people!  I work with the client to the develop content, by understanding the event, service, or product you are highligting. 

I start by understanding a client’s business and the competition, their industry, the proper terminology, and their performance expectations. I then do content research and develop a list of all the appropriate media outlets, including print, broadcast, and Web.

My releases are written to deliver the “maximum punch” in concise forms.


Media Buys

I assist my clients in understanding the terminology being used to persuade an ad buy.  I do the research to understand how many consumers are reading, clicking, listening, and watching, in consideration to pricing.  I have done research on the local publications, internet, radio, and cable to assist my clients in their needs, whether it is space, time, location, and demographic.

I work with publishers, editors, and other media outlets, and have developed strong relationships in these area.  I understand  how to get the best ad space in the correct media, at the best price for my clients.

Networking

Networking is a 2-tiered process.  The first tier is physically being out there at chamber events, networking groups, and being a part of organizations that can help my clients in return.  I consider for my clients who they want to meet and why.  I assist in developing lists of people and/or businesses that can help move their business and get the client in front of those people.

The second tier which has grown in the last few years is the social online networking.  This is the opportunity for my clients to have an on-line presence.  Talking about their business, what they are doing that is innovative or different for their business and creating buzz in the on-line world.  It can also be as simple as just posting blogs or feeds that draw attention to the business.  Check out my home page for an example of how I reach out to the on-line community by discussing the events happening in Burbank.  I can develop the blog and discussions for my clients or guide them to create their own content.

This specific service is dear to my heart because I believe that having a presence is key.  This was an ideal I was taught from the day I was born!  My father was a city Planning Board member & chairman, a city Park, Recreation, and Community Services Board member, as well as a board member of what is now the Downtown Burbank Partnership (a Business Improvement District), and was a Lions’ Club member.  My mother currently serves on the Civic Pride committee, La Providencia Guild, and is a member of several community organizations. I currently serve on the Burbank on Parade board and Community Development & Goals committee; I am a Chamber of Commerce member, a former board member of the Boys and Girls Club, and was an Executive Director for the BID.

Clients benefit from my knowledge of “who’s who” and can use my advice to make better plans and better connections.


Web

The first consideration is a brochure site or an active web presence.  I am a firm believer in coordinating the branding and messaging between website and marketing campaigns for consistency and continuity.  This also creates a broader marketing and public relations strategy across media platforms.

A brochure site is just like a business card.  I develop the look and feel with a consultative approach to get all questions answered before the process starts.  The client is a part of this process with look, feel, and content being developed in phases.   The website promotes the business, their services, and any products.  Consumers can go the the site, find information about the client and buy products if there is a cart option.   It is also a good way for you to be seen when a consumer tries to find you on-line.

An active web presence is more than “just a simple Web page.” I show clients how they can leverage all the power of the Internet: search engines, local Web site partnerships, social networking, blogging, Web-powered multimedia presentations, and more.   This enables the client to be seen in the on-line community on different sites, not just their own.  I can develop blog content with my clients on a daily or weekly basis.


Events

I am capable of putting together small and large events.  I can assist my clients with seminars in hotels, ribbon-cutting events, grand openings, special events, and large events: street fairs and car shows.  I know what it takes to plan events of small and large sizes, and how to arrange all location details, equipment, staffing, hardware, etc.  I have a wonderful group of vendors that assist me with great pricing and details.

Clients can bring me in at the very beginning to consult and develop an event budget, and retain me to manage all details.


Trade Shows

Having worked with some of the top companies in the trade show industry, I can put my years of trade show experience to work for clients, and work with them to plan and manage their participation in trade shows – locally, nationally, or worldwide. I have extensive experience with trade show hardware and large-format graphics; I understand transport logistics, staffing accommodations, “on-the-floor” details; I can also arrange meetings and social events at trade shows.

I have sold trade show space for shows and I can assist in that process along with guiding my clients through the exhibitor services manual. 


Non-Profits

I am working with a number of Business Improvement Districts, serving on several boards, and worked as a city government & organization liaison. I am familiar with how non-profits work, what their needs are, and how to step in and help. I am available to help market non-profits and act as their public relations resource.


Visual Marketing

I have an extensive background in visual marketing, and have directed print marketing campaigns for many local, regional, and national companies. Projects have included brochure mail-outs, sell sheets, full-color product catalogs, large-format banners and graphics, print advertising and on-line advertising. I have relationships with many artists, photographers, and printers, and can manage any visual marketing projects for any client.
